1. Make a list of your dream home.

Think about what it is that really matters to you. Are you early bird or night ravens? The answer might give you a hint about what is the evening sun on the terrace or morning sun in the kitchen window you rank highest.

What do you do without that others will pay for? Make a list of what you want in your new home with the most important first and less important things further down. Keep on the list, and if you fell in love with a home, go back and check. To find out if it’s hot flirtation or true love.

2. Join local historian in the area you want to buy in.

Familiarize yourself with the price level in the area where you want to buy houses. Familiarize yourself with the distances to public transport, school, kindergarten and the other things that are important to you.

You can also ask a local real estate on such matters in order to get a better basis to make its own assessments around a purchase.

3. Keep up to date on what’s happening in your area.

Consider the list you made on your dream home and put up housing interests of local real estate agents, so you can receive

4. Find the financial framework yours.

Check early in the process how much you can and should borrow. Set yourself a limit and stick it in the betting rounds. Be sure to have financing arranged. Remember also purchase and sales costs in your financial review, as well as expenses for maintenance and rehabilitation if necessary.

5. Get a good view.
