– The situation for the oil companies are going to turn around this year, says oil expert Jarand Rystad, who do not get the predictions of a decline to hang together, to DN.
It has, according to the newspaper not been much to rejoice over to the participants at Sparebank 1 SR-Bank’s oil conference last year.
But oil expert Rystad – which is one of the world’s most renowned analysts in the oil industry – had yesterday regained smile.
– There is no reason to hang out with lip, was his message.
– There will be a new golden age, he states facing DN, and continues:
– Oil prices have already bottomed out. The situation for the oil companies are going to turn around this year, with
better increase production, reduce costs and improve cash flow. Within engineering we see the bottom this year or next year. Equipment suppliers will have to wait at the bottom for another two years.
