Revellers not so hard Norway – Dagens Næringsliv

Oil price fall can be dramatically for service and supply industry, and jobs may break along the coast. But it can lead to a useful restructuring in Norway, according to Swedbank peaks Peter Hermanrud and Harald Magnus Andreassen.

Chief Economist Harald Magnus Andreassen and chief strategist Peter Hermanrud followed figures and trends on the side of Swedbank bustling trading desk Friday. They did not hit on the biggest alarm bells – at least not seen the slightly longer term.

Negative follows- For the world is not of the hazardous oil falls, Andreassen says.

He distinguishes declines due to increased production of oil and falling prices due to lower demand caused by a sluggish world economy.

Positive follows- Now increased production importantly, and such declines stings not so hard Norway. Just look at the metal market. Then the effects less dramatic, he said.
