Asks Norwegians bring cash for Greece holiday. Now comes the first theft … – Dagbladet.no

While Norwegians going to Greece on holiday are encouraged to bring extra cash, have the first reports started to emerge about Norwegians stolen money once they have arrived in the country.

A 16-year-old Norwegian Girl had 550 euros in cash with him. She barely had time to land in Greece before thieves made off with all her money on one of the Greek islands, writes Aftenposten.

– In addition, we had another case of theft, so we fear that this will increase. Criminals know now that tourists coming to the islands with lots of cash on him, said Deputy Information Officer Emma Elisabeth Vennesland in European insurance.

She therefore urges Norwegians going to Greece on holiday this summer to be cautious.

– Bring cash, but not large amounts. Spread the risk that the money allocated to the whole party. Add money in safe wherever possible. And so we encourage everyone to take good care of their money when they stay on the beaches, said Vennesland, showing that travel insurance does not cover more than the theft of 3,000 kroner per person.

few days ago guaranteed the Greek Embassy in Oslo that Greece-vacation will be trouble for Norwegian tourists.
