Industrial index Dow Jones gained 0.79 percent to 17,757.91 points, while the Nasdaq rose 0.53 percent to 5,013.12 points.
The recovery continued from Tuesday, when the US markets received a buoyed by a sharp fall the day before due to concerns about the crisis in Greece.
The broad-based S & amp; P 500 index grew by 0.69 percent to 2,077.42, but the energy sector was pulled down by the biggest drop in oil prices since April. The price for US crude fell 4.2 percent to $ 56.96 a barrel during Wednesday.
