DNO expects to put in place the structure to actually receive payment for its oil exports from northern Iraq, but do not want to define a time frame, says Chairman Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani DNO under the Company’s quarterly presentation in Oslo on Thursday, according to TDN Finans.
– We expect sales to come, and sales means that you get paid. I will not say anything about the details and any challenges as there is still some confusion about these matters, says Mossavar-Rahmani.
– I would not say the payments will be in place next week or next month once, but we are working to find a solution, he adds.
Given the news that the Kurdish authorities in northern Iraq (KRG) has now given the green light for the companies in the region to conclude proper export agreements , says chairman DNO aims to enter into long-term contracts with buyers.
– We focus not on individual sales, but long supply contracts, he said.
