Alerts dark clouds – Today's Business

NHO economy survey paints a gloomy picture of the development. Next year the total investment in Norway in minus. But it’s not doomsday just yet, according to Dag Aarnes NHO.

The article is added to your reading list.

1. TNS Gallup has interviewed over 2600 companies for NHO. What is the conclusion, director Dag Aarnes NHO. You have used the title “The whole Norway in red”?

Profil- It was a somewhat tabloid representation. There goes that the total volume of investments falls.

2. What is the reason for the fall? Is it another sign of the reciprocal sanctions in relations with Russia

– drop due to oil investment and weaker investment in other areas such as housing and industry. But at the same time growing public investment. It is encouraging that much is being invested in road and rail. I would say that the results were in line with expectations. It fits with the image we have from other sources, SSB and other forecasters. It shows something fresher stroke this year, but is gloomier aimed at next year’s investment. There was some talk of sanctions and Russia when the survey was done. But we can not see a trace of them. And it seems that Norwegian suppliers, particularly salmon, have found other markets.
