The sale of apartments increased by 34 percent in August compared with the same month last year. Although this is home sales so far this year 15 percent behind the level of the same period last year, according to figures from the Homebuilders Association.

Housing sales in August is 19 percent over the same month last year. Housing starts in the month of August is 10 percent behind the August 2013 year to date, initiated 16 percent fewer homes than the same period last year.
