Norway's tallest building may be erected at Fornebu – Aftenposten

Aker will build Norway’s tallest building at Fornebu. Tower will be 40 floors and 140 meters – 23 meters higher than the Oslo Plaza.

There will be a visible landmark from large parts of Oslo, Bærum and Asker. Building will total 30,000 square meters. If Bærum says yes.

– If there is to build a high-rise somewhere in Bærum, so it must be here at Fornebu, says head of Aker company Fornebu Gate AS, Torstein Storækre to Budstikka.

Price tag: 10 billion

What the tower will be used for, is not clarified. Høyhuset may contain hotel, conference center, offices, homes and service.

Built may also be publicly available, not just through open glass facades at street level, but also at the top.

– In top we can for example build an observatory. Consider what type it may be, believes Storækre.

Aker has now committed to invest around 4 billion in prestige area has been called Fornebu Gate. With “Rokke Tower” in the calculation, the amount strive towards 10 billion.

Fully developed it can live and work between 10 and 12,000 people in the area.



Will help Fornebu Line

Meanwhile claims Aker opposite Budstikka, that they will contribute financially to the realization of Fornebu Line.
