Norsk Hydro exceeds predictions – Hegnar Online

the Norwegian Hydro reported a profit after tax of 1.119 million in 3. quarter of 2016, compared to negative 1.345 million in the same period the year before.

According to TDN Finans was it expected a profit of 1.032 million.

Earnings per share were 0,53 million, against minus 0,65 money at the same crossroads the year before. The expectation was to 0.50, respectively.

the Result before tax was 1.693 million, compared with minus 1.711 million in the last year and waited 1.529 million.

operating profit (EBIT) was 1.376 million, compared with nok 1.630 million in the year-ago quarter. It was in advance expected an operating profit of 1.374 million.

operating Revenues amounted to 20.174 million, compared with 21.594 million in 3. quarter of 2015. Forhåndstipset was 19.899 million.

- There is still good growth in demand for aluminium. We stick to our expectation of a growth in global demand for aluminium on the four to five per cent in 2016, and expects that it will be in the upper echelon of this estimate for the year as a whole, ” says president and ceo Svein Richard Brandtzæg in a comment.

- This happens as a result of higher demand than expected in China, and a slower start-up of previously curtailed capacity, he points out.
