Fresh oljeestimater from the IEA – Hegnar Online

The international energy agency (IEA) oppjusterer its estimates for oil demand in 2017 with the to 190,000 barrels per day to 97,51 million barrels per day, announced in its latest monthly report.

the Demand for 1. quarter raised 250,000 barrels per day, while the 2. quarter seem to be growing with 170.000 barrels per day.

3. and 4. quarter seem to be growing etterspørselsestimatene with to 190,000 barrels per day.

For the 2016 estimate IEA a demand on the 96,28 million barrels per day, representing an upward revision of 160.000 barrels per day.

Etterspørselsanslaget for 1. quarter seem to be growing by 100,000 barrels per day, and 2. quarter seem to be growing with to 190,000 barrels per day. For 3. and 4. quarter seem to be growing estimates with respectively 150.000 and 180.000 barrels per day.

They also announces that they increase the “call on Opec”-the estimate for 2017 with 200,000 barrels per day to 33,4 million barrels per day. For 2016, an estimated 32,7 million barrels per day.

the IEA writes that although the market is now moving towards normalization, they think tilbudsoverskuddet will persist in the first half of 2017. They point out, however, that if Opec get in place an agreement on a production target of 32,5-33,0 million barrels per day the market can get faster in the balance.
