despite reduced growth in the previous month, showing septembers PMI numbers that industriveksten we’ve seen since april continues. The weaker growth in august was a clear deviation from the trend, ” says Svein-Egil Hoberg in Nima in a press release.
It is mainly the sub-indices for new orders and production that contribute to the positive development of the Norwegian PMI in september, stated it in the message.

- Both production and ordreindeksen in september show good growth. The index of production has not been so high for several years. We must back to august 2014; and then august 2013 to see the corresponding numbers, ” says Hoberg.
- It is especially the domestic market which draws up ordreindeksen, and provides a good indication with respect to the further vekstforventning in the industry, ” he says.
Falling delindekser
The other sub-indices, which determine the Norwegian PMI shows this month decline.
however, Employment fell from 47,7 to 47,5 in september. It is the 22. month in a row that this this sub-index has a value less than 50.
Employment is still in the reduction, at the same level we have seen over the last few months. We’ve also commented previously, this shows a clear productivity growth in the industry, ” says Hoberg.
