Netfonds and analysis supervisor Roger Berntsen believe the Oslo stock Exchange opens relatively flat in the day.

“most of the indicators we look at is, more or less, unchanged from yesterday afternoon, so after everything to judge a quiet start on the Oslo stock Exchange today,” writes Berntsen in morgenrapporten.

“that said, we still believe that the “path of least resistance” is upwards, then the underlying mood in the stock market is good. The positive earnings performance of companies in the last quarters, as well as low interest rates and low exchange rate is the main reason for the good mood”, he writes further.

Analysesjefen refers to the important events of the day; Macro: CPI, Housing starts, Philly Fed Index, Jobless Claims (the united STATES).

Asia

There are small gestures and mixed development on the stock exchanges in Asia on Thursday morning.

In Japan falls, Nikkei 0.05 percent, while the broader Topix index is down 0,12 per cent.

the Shanghai Composite in China weakened to 0.30 per cent, and the Hang Seng in Hong Kong is down 0.07 per cent.

In South Korea climbs, however, Kospi 0.11 percent, the S&P/ASX 200 index in Australia is up 0.20 per cent and the Straits Times in Singapore rises 0,58 per cent.

According to Bloomberg awaits investors now on Fed chief Janet Yellens statements after that Donald Trump was chosen as the new american president 8. november. Yellen will on Thursday speak at the Congress, and there are hopes that it will provide some signals about how the us rentepolitikken will be in the future.

- We see as usual that the investors are cautious ahead of Janet Yellens speech, ” says a strategist at Patersons Securities Tony Farnham, to Bloomberg News.

Brent oil is on Thursday morning, down 0.15 percent to 46,56 per barrel, while WTI-oil falls 0,13 percent to 45,51 dollars a barrel.

in comparison, a barrel Nordsjøolje traded for 46,67 per barrel by the close of business in Oslo on Wednesday.

united STATES

It was mixed on the stock exchanges in New York on Wednesday. After six days of decline, fell the Dow Jones 0.29 per cent to the 18.868,14 and the S&P 500 ended down 0,16 percent to 2.176,94. The Nasdaq rose 0,36 percent to 5.294,58.

For every stock that fell, it was little more than a share that rose.

On the NYSE there were seven of the ten most traded shares fell. Bank of America was the most traded and ended down two per cent. J. P. Morgan dropped 2.5 percent, while Wells Fargo fell 1.7 per cent and Citigroup ended down 1.5 percent.

On the Nasdaq there were only two of the ten most traded shares fell.

the Oslo stock Exchange ended in the red on Wednesday after a positive opening. The main index closed at 645,25 points, after a decline of 0.21 per cent.
