- I see it as cheating from the bank – HegnarOnline

Do you negotiated better rate with your bank, you need to settle down for rounds of discussions, newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.

Loan Accounts with Nordea, Jostein Bjørgo, had an interest rate of 2.7 percent, while Nordea official rate was 2.9. Thursday cut the bank rate to 2.65 but Bjørgo have learned that such cuts do not apply to all, neither Nordea nor his former bank, DNB.

– You are told that you get good rate because of good income and security, and then one should expect that this is not a short-term advantage. I perceive it as cheating from the bank, he said.

At the previous rate cuts he received first letter from Nordea that he only got part of the cut, but day succeeded client manager up with a full cut. Now he has made it clear that he change banks if the same thing happens again.

Both DNB and Nordea says they allow interest rates fluctuate equally to all in the same group of customers.

– We do a individual credit for every loan we give out, and therefore there are some customers who receive a slightly lower rate than the list price. As we cut interest rates, those with the highest interest rate today experience to get the biggest cut, while those who already have a lower rate than the list price, will be able to get a somewhat smaller cuts, says communications director at DNB, Even Westerveld, to DN.
