Haandbryggeriet was owned by Jens Petter Maudal (40 percent), Arne Eide (20 percent), Egil Hilde (20 percent) and Rune Eriksen (20 percent). It is Maudal and Eriksen who have sold their shareholdings to Norbrew. The parties do not want to go out with the price.
The idea behind Norbrew is that this company will perform logistics and marketing to chains, Vinmonopolet, HoReCa and export markets on behalf of the four breweries.
Clear ambitions
– We take us of paperwork, while breweries to do what they do best: brew beer. This is something the chains and HoReCa want, for small breweries often fails to meet the chains on their terms. Norbrew also have the finances to build the capacity, says Knutsen, who estimates that the four breweries overall turnover of NOK 100 million for next year. – Why will you invest in just these four craft breweries?
