Oslo Stock Exchange opened virtually flat Wednesday, but fell back somewhat at lunchtime. Since then, higher oil prices make the stock market ended the day in positive territory. The main index rose to end 0.14 percent to 622.70.

The price of North Sea oil has during Wednesday reached new season best of 52 , $ 53 a barrel. By close of trading the price is $ 52.34 a barrel, giving an increase of 1.75 percent in today’s trading it means the price is up over 38 percent since January and 14.50 percent in the last month.
The US light crude is up 1.49 percent to $ 51.11. Tuesday ended price above 50 dollars for the first time since July last year.
Statoil rose Wednesday 1.60 percent to 139.90 kroner.
We note otherwise that Seadrill gained 8.62 percent to 31.50 crowns.
News from Questerre
Questerre Energy Corporation stated on Wednesday that the government of Quebec has introduced “Bill 106″ for modernizing hydrocarbon legislation in the province. Meanwhile, the company said that it expects a slight reduction in credit facilities in the wake of current market conditions. Questerre looking at options to maintain financial flexibility.
Questerre rose entire 26.13 percent to 1.40 million.
stock Debutant
B2 Holding ASA debuted on the stock exchange today. IPO price was 12 million. The stock was eventually traded for 12.50 kroner.
Ex-day Wilhelmsen
Wilh. Wilhelmsen traded today excluded right for shares in the new company Treasure ASA. Stakes in South Korean Glovis will then be transferred to Treasure and be traded separately.
DNB Markets estimates a value of 36 per share in Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA after the distribution and a value corresponding to 26 per share in Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA of shareholdings in Treasure ASA.
WWASA shares fell Wednesday 40.95 percent (18.10 million) to 26.10 crowns.
