Helikopterselskapet CHC helikopter Service lays down its base in Bergen. Around 100 employees lose their jobs.
the Cut comes as a result of the company last year lost a billion kroner contract with Statoil to the competitor Bristow, according to the Bergens Tidende newspaper.
the Same day that Bristow takes over the contract to fly oil workers from Bergen and Florø, add CHC down the base.
– Then we have no longer any fixed contracts in Bergen, and when we lay down as operational base. There are long-term contracts that is the basis for the base, says managing director Arne Roland in CHC helikopter Service.
He tells us that in excess of 100 jobs that are related to the base in Bergen, will disappear. A part activity, such as the administrative functions are moved to Stavanger.
