ministry of PETROLEUM AND ENERGY (E24): The German oil company DEA had to wait a few minutes Monday and then they should hand over the utbyggingssøknaden for Dvalin-field, formerly known as Zidane. Oil and energy minister Tord Lien was in fact delayed by trontalen in Parliament which went over time.
He was very pleased to take over the plan for development and operation (PDO) for Dvalin-field in the Norwegian sea, which involves 10 billion. The field should be ready for production in 2020, and to send gas and condensate to the Heidrun field. From there find the path to the Nyhamna via Polarled.
Dvalin is DEAs the first development that feltoperatør. We are proud of that we together with partners have found a utbyggingsmodell with a sustainable economy even in a time of low oil and gas prices, ” says Hans Hermann Andreae, managing director of the DEA Norge.
Dvalin-the field contains around 18,2 billion standard cubic meters of gas and 0.4 million standard cubic meters of condensate, which will be produced from the two reservoirs.
the Transmission happens just over a month after Statoil delivered two utbyggingssøknader to oljeministeren in two weeks. The applications were for Byrding and Outland-fields, both of which are satellittutbygginger from existing fields.
Dvalin is a gas field in the Norwegian sea, where the first discoveries were made in 2010 and then a new discovery in 2012. It consists of two structures, Zidane East and Zidane in the West. Found is around 15 kilometres northwest of the Heidrun field. The plan has been to build out Dvalin with the subsea frames on the seabed with the connection back to the Heidrun field. The production is scheduled to get underway in 2020.
the DEA owns 40 per cent and is the operator. Edison, OMV and Maersk Oil owns 20 per cent each. The company has however entered into an agreement to acquire the OMVs share.
the Oil company DEA has been in Norway for over 40 years, and in the end of 2015 took over the shareholdings to E. ON on the Norwegian continental shelf. After the merger, the company has interests in 69 licenses from north to south on the Norwegian continental shelf, and they have operatorship in 11 of them.
Zidane is DEAs first feltutviklingsprosjekt in Norway. The company’s production before Zidane is of about 70,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in Norway.
subsea fields
Dvalin is the largest new development project on the Norwegian continental shelf in years – a project that will create substantial value for the community. The project demonstrates that improvement in the industry, creating profitable developments, says oil and energy minister Tord Lien (Frp).
Dvalin is a so-called subsea fields (subsea fields), with four wells tied in to the Heidrun platform 15 km away via a new pipeline. At the Heidrun field are the gas is partially processed and then sent forth in a new export pipelines tied back to the Polarled and on to Nyhamna. Where will the gas be finally processed before it is transported on to the market in Europe. Production is planned to start in 2020.
– In relation to the original plans, we have managed to reduce the costs of the project, with over 20 per cent. With the field helps the DEA and its partners to open a new part of the Norwegian sea for gas production, ” says Andreae.
– It is a huge step for the DEA to submit the plan for development and operation, and thus take the project into a new phase. Dvalin-the project is a clear sign of DEAs plans for further growth in Norway, ” says Thomas Rappuhn, CEO of DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG.

the Application for the development of the Zidane is the third utbyggingssøknaden (PDO) as Tord Lien receives so far in the year. It is expected that by the new year can receive more, something the minister himself has say the opposite E24 earlier.
Here is an overview of some of the projects that it may come utbyggingssøknader on already in the year or in 2017:
At the Statoil have also launched a number of projects after that effektiviseringsprogrammet in Statoil together with the fall in oil prices led to a number of projects were put on ice.
Among these is the Oseberg Vestflanken 2, that Statoil has applied to build out in December of last year. Even though these are smaller projects in the oljenæringens scale, there are also some real big projects that are started.
the largest is The Johan Sverdrup field in the north Sea, where development is now in full swing. The production is scheduled to begin at the end of 2019.
It is also associated with considerable excitement to the Johan Castberg field in the Barents sea. The project was first exposed in 2013, but in February this year could Statoil ceo Eldar Sætre tell that things were about to happen. He announced, among other things, that we had managed to cut the project’s utbyggingskostnad with 40 to 50 billion, and that one is planning a final investment decision by the end of next year. Production is planned to started in 2022.

Statoil will drop the shore power to the Johan Castberg: – We have developed a very effective solution
Then we will probably see Lundins development of the Alta and Gohta discoveries on Loppahøyden in the Barents sea. This project may come into production sometime in the 2020′s, after Johan Castberg probably.
These new projects are in addition to the projects already under development, such as Maria, Aasta Hansteen, Gina Krog, Ivar Aasen (Norwegian) and Martin Linge.
