The order is a result of a contract Aker Solutions achieved by Statoil in 2013 to develop the oil field.
– We have been working with Statoil in two years to find a cost effective solution that will enable To develop this strategically important oil field in northern Norway, says Per Harald Kongelf, head of Aker Solutions in Norway.
He added that the cost is significantly reduced.
Johan Castberg field , operated by Statoil, is about 240 kilometers northwest of Hammerfest.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial value of the contract. It is recognized as a part of Aker Solutions’ order intake in the first quarter. (© NTB)
