During January were 800 more unemployed iiølge seasonally adjusted figures from NAV. The sum of the unemployed and job seekers on measures increased by 1,100.
– The unemployment rate continues to increase in counties that have many employed in oil-related activities, while we see a more stable trend in the rest of the country, said Labor and Welfare director Sigrun Vågeng.
At the end of January, 93,300 registered as unemployed with NAV, an increase of 10,700 from January last year.
Unemployment is with this 3.4 percent, against 3.0 per cent on the same time last year.
The total of unemployed and job seekers on measures was 109,300, 14,600 more than the same time last year.
Gross Unemployment is thus 4 , 0 percent. 0.5 percentage points higher than the same time last year.
The largest increase within the engineering and ICT subjects
At the end of January it was registered 8,000 unemployed with a background in engineering and ICT subjects.
This is an increase of 3,200 (66 percent) compared with January last year.
After the engineering and ICT subjects there within industrial services and among brokers and consultants that unemployment increased the most, by 33 percent and 23 percent.
The largest increase in Rogaland
During the past year, unemployment has risen significantly in all coastal counties of Aust-Agder to Møre og Romsdal.
Altogether there are 10,800 more unemployed in these counties than in the same period last year, while the total unemployed in the country has increased by 10,700 people .
In January it was registered 79 percent more completely unemployed in Rogaland than the same time last year. In Rogaland the largest increase is in Oslo with 35 percent, and Møre og Romsdal by 33 percent.
Unemployment is now highest in Rogaland with 4.9 per cent and in Aust-Agder with 4.7 percent.
Oppland and Troms have the lowest unemployment rate, both county with 2.4 percent.
