Fed keeps interest rates unchanged – OBI Online

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Federal Reserve (FOMC) decided to keep its key rate in the US flat at 0.25-0.5 percent. Thus makes no rpm changes from December, when the central bank made the first interest rate hike since 2006.

Fed was also expected in advance to keep interest rates unchanged.

More surprisingly it is possibly that the central bank does not provide any indications of changes in the way forward.

Fed says, however, that they follow the volatility and market developments closely.

The monetary policy committee confirms otherwise that even though economic growth is slow, as is the trend in the labor market positively, and the Committee expects that the continuing low inflation will change.
