The Dow Jones sniffed at the 20,000 – Nasdaq to a new record – Hegnar Online

The u.s. stock exchanges rose slightly on Tuesday, but trade was thin. The Dow Jones sniffed at the 20,000. On the highest standing index of 19.980,24, but it ended up by 0.06 per cent to 19.945,04. The broader S&P 500 index rose by 0,22 percent to 2.268,88.

Only two of the 11 sectors included in the index ended in the red.

Teknologitunge Nasdaq ended up 0,45 percent to 5,487,44, which is a new record.

the Dow Jones is up nine per cent after the presidential election and 14.5 per cent in 2016.

Lackluster sales

The total volume on the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, NYSE MKT and the NYSA Arca was 3,894 billion shares, the lowest volume of fule days so far in 2016.

Waiting the rally this week

S&P 500 index is heading for the first annual recovery since 2014, when the index has risen about 11 per cent in 2016., join TDN Finans. According to Bloomberg News waiting strategists that the index will end 2017 4.1 per cent higher than the level it closed at on Friday.

Tesla

Tesla announces a deal with Panasonic to produce solar cells and modules in a factory in New York city. The stock rose 2.9 per cent to 219,53 dollars.

Boligprise

Boligprisindeksen S&P/Corelogic (formerly known as S&P/Case-Shiller) rose by 5.1 per cent (on an annualized basis) to the 191,79 in October.

It was expected an increase on 5,03%.
