Baksaas: – I had a grief reaction – Asker and Bærum Budstikke

Jon Fredrik Baksaas admits it was tough not going to be Telenor CEO more.

He has earned 125 million as Telenor CEO, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

– I had an grief here in the spring, but now it’s really okay to should stop. It has been an amazing journey, he said.

Baksaas believes that any allowance that is given to him, meant something.

– I should not complain about my remuneration in Norwegian perspective. And I have reinvested in Telenor shares at every opportunity. Thus I am also lucky that I sit with a good number of shares now, he said.

And what has been the hardest job he says the following:

– It has been dealing with colleagues in difficult changes that affect them negatively, he said.

Changes in corporate management are among them.

– I was probably tougher before. I was probably more tense and easier to annoy the early years. Something happened to me personally and motivational for three or four years ago when we saw how clearly the transition from voice to data would come to be and we let the strategy of “Internet for all”. The last few years have been very funny, he says.
