The latest investment estimate is 19.35 billion showing approval letter from the NPD.
Chief Information Officer Morten Eek Statoil confirms that investment estimate has been revised upwards.
– There are complex reasons why project becomes more expensive. Something caused the delay we have received. We also learned that the technological complexity is higher than we initially thought, and in addition we had some delayed deliveries, says Eek to pursuits.
The last transgression means that the project total has been over four billion more expensive than planned when the development plan was submitted. This represents an increase of about 30 percent.
