- 2000, go to Statoil – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): 2,000 people must go in Statoil, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

This means that the biggest cut round in the company ever is a reality .

Of the 2000 1,500 employees, while 500 are hired.

– We’re trying to draw a vision of the future that is 50-60-70 years ahead, said shelf-chief Arne Sigve Nylund to Dagens Næringsliv.

Cut round should be the result of discussion meetings between union representatives and management that ended Thursday.

Statoil information director Jannik Lindebæk jr. would not comment on the information, neither towards DN or E24.

– We can not comment on the information DN reproduce, because it is not a final decision, he says to E24.

Falling oil price and higher costs are among the reasons pointed to explain the downturn in the oil industry.
