Historically low interest rates on savings accounts provide strong growth for equity funds. Nordea director Gunn Wærsted believe in even lower interest rate and asks Norwegians taking higher risks.

Nordea Norway -sjef Gunn Wærsted spend most of their working time in Stockholm and other large cities, and not in Oslo. In corporate management in the largest Nordic bank has Wærsted responsibility for the savings segment, where breed clients’ money.
Gunn Wærsted sale of shares in mutual funds and other investments increased much faster than ordinary bank deposits. Customers have also gotten more bang for taking risks even in recent years.
– The dilemma is that most of the interest rates on savings are eaten up by inflation. Those who also pay property tax, have negative real interest rates, says Wærsted.
