Espresso House sold with billion gain – Sunnmørsposten

Today’s Espresso House mainly owned by the Norwegian buyout fund Herkules, who bought the chain for 640 million kroner in 2012.

Now take the German company Jab Holding over, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

– The company will be the world’s largest coffee and looking at Espresso House as an important means of reaching that goal, says Sverre Flåskjer, senior partner at Herkules said.

Espresso House was started in Sweden in 1996 and has gradually expanded to Norway. The last two years it has been opened a large number of new cafés in Oslo.

The chain has 1,900 employees and serves coffee and pastries to 60,000 people each day. (© NTB) (© NTB)
