Go abroad when you are sick or unemployed? – Dagbladet.no

• Several travel cases on db.no/reise. (Dinside.no): Do you receive support from the NAV, it is not certain you should add this year’s holiday abroad. In that case you risk getting cut in benefits for the days you stay abroad.

Who this applies depends on what kind of support you receive.

Unemployed lose support

Unemployed receiving unemployment benefit, is among those who lose all support for overseas holidays.

You need to bring up any vacation in employment status form and will not receive unemployment benefit for those days.

If you receive rehabilitation benefit (AAP) can exceptionally receive support while you are abroad.

Then it according to NAV talk about for reasonable periods between actions, or while waiting for treatment.

To maintain AAP during stays abroad must stay be consistent with the implementation of the approved activity.

Vacation for three weeks with NAV Support

Are you a job seeker with redundancy can take up to three weeks holiday during the calendar year while getting paid severance pay, even if they are abroad these holiday weeks.

support.

– Currency Index is one of several remedies that can used to check whether a beneficiary has had abroad without reporting, the NAV’s press service stated to DinSide earlier.

Section Manager Magne Fladby NAV has previously told that they collect information from several state registers checking including income and residence to beneficiaries.
