After the all-time hottest year for Hennig-Olsen’s Factory last year, it is far cooler in both ice and currency market now, writes DN.
An amazing summer contributed naturally powerful that sales for Hennig-Olsen’s Factory reached new heights last year.
Revenue from issalget increased according to the newspaper from 661 million to 728 million kroner. Besides selling the family business two subsidiaries that made the turnover totaled close to three quarters of a billion.
However, this year there is little to cheer about so far.
– This year we got the big dip down again. We notice very clearly the effects of the cold. June was the metal in the bucket. May also. We are far behind budgets. We need heat, says Paal Otto Hennig-Olsen to DN, and continues:
– So there is no doubt that the results of this year will be weaker than they were last year. And in addition to that it is cold, we have a currency situation that makes our purchases from abroad have become far more expensive. A euro over nine million is just python. We import goods packaging, sugar and cocoa / chocolate for around 200 million annually and the weak crown is not good for us.
