Sverdrup distribution is clear – Røkke avspises with less than before – HegnarOnline

To avoid delays by Sverdrup development which is the largest industrial project in recent times, the Petroleum and Energy Ministry has now decided the distribution of Sverdrup field between the five partners, the Ministry stated in a press release.

– With today’s decision clarifies Ministry disagreement between the companies regarding the participating interests in Sverdrup field. The decision means that all companies will now have a vested interest in developing and operating the field in the coming decades, so that we achieve good resource and highest possible value from the field. This is important now that the development of the largest industrial project in recent times is underway, says Minister Tord Lien (FRP).

The Ministry’s decision gives the following participating interests to licensees in Johan Sverdrup field:

Statoil Petroleum AS 40.0267 percent
Lundin Norway AS 22.6000 percent
Petoro AS 17.3600 percent
Norwegian oil company ASA 11,5733prosent
Maersk Oil Norway AS 8.4400 percent.

The proposal from the other parties that the Norwegian oil company chose not to sign, was, according to TDN Finans 11.8933 percent to The Norwegian oil company , 22.12 percent to Lundin Petroleum 8.12 percent to Maersk Oil , 17.84 percent to Petoro and 40.0267 percent to Statoil .

This means that Statoil will have the same proportion as in the original proposal.

Lundin share increased by 0.48 percentage points, the same as Petoro been reduced.

Maersk share has increased by 0.32 percentage points, the same as Det norske’s share is been reduced.

– We will now look very closely at the reasons before we decide how we relate to the decision, said Managing Director of the Norwegian oil company Karl Johnny Hersvik.

– Through today’s decision, the Ministry has laid the foundation for putting in place the agreement concerning the companies’ cooperation in the development and operation of Sverdrup. Until this agreement is in place will the development go ahead under the agreement the companies have established for the planning, says Tord Lien.

– The Ministry has been based on the thorough subsurface work conducted by companies and has also taken into account to a review obtained from the NPD. The Ministry has applied present volume adjusted for differences in inherent reservoir properties at their discretion in distributing Sverdrup instance.
