The agreement was signed Tuesday afternoon, said the employers’ organization Transportföretagen in a statement.
Swedish Pilotförening and SAS had received a new proposal for a solution that they would decide within at 17 today, the news agency TT.
Fifteen minutes later reported Swedish Radio that the strike is over. The parties have agreed wage increases of 2.2 per cent, but it is unclear when SAS’s flights can be resumed as normal, according to the Swedish broadcaster.
– We are delighted to have agreed a deal of 2 , 2 percent. On the other hand, we think it is boring that we had to go through a costly and unnecessary strike, says Mattias Dal, deputy director of Svenska Flygbranschen and Transportföretagen in a statement.
SAS pilots in Sweden since Friday on strike with demands for higher wages and better working conditions. Just Tuesday set an estimated 240 departures.
Thousands of passengers have been affected, but the strike does not fly with Norwegian and Danish pilots.
