Retail sales increased by 0.4 per cent in august – imf

retail sales excluding motor vehicles increased by 0.4 per cent in august, figures, Statistics norway (SSB), put forward on Wednesday.

It was expected an increase of 0.6 per cent, according to TDN Finans.

the Recovery in august came after a decline of 0.6 per cent the month before.

the Figures for retail sales is one of the first numbers that STATISTICS norway has published after the time of publication for all statistics Friday 23. september was moved from the clock 10 to the clock 8.

Sales in the grocery stores and the sale of food and drink in spesialforretningene contributed to the increase in sales volume in august this year. Shops with the sale of sports equipment and the sale of electrical goods also contributed to the growth, says STATISTICS norway.

sales volume at service stations and retail outside of the shop had, however, a decline in sales volume in the same period, according to the agency.
