- Norwegian ruined all our summer holidays – Aftenposten

- Norwegian ruined all our summer holidays – Aftenposten

Arne Michael Killingmo specified for what should have been an all time summer vacation on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica. The trip was carefully planned, and that with a little discerning choice of housing to make your vacation more comfortable.

But stay on the French island proved to be anything but pleasant.

The good holiday mood fell drastically already when they arrived at the island’s capital Ajaccio: It turned out that the Norwegian aircraft had traveled from suitcases to three of them at the airport:

– Such can happen, but when anticipated that a serious airline has procedures to quickly fix things. It’s obviously not English. All inquiries there have been useless, they have contrary shown an arrogance towards their customers as I have never experienced anything like, say Killingmo Aftenposten.

The suitcases did not

From the outset brands Killingmo that there would be no easy task to get back suitcases.

– It was said that the bags would come with the next English-fly – on Saturday, ie four days later. We were also told that it could be before, since there were supposedly 30 passengers who were in the same situation as us, telling Killingmo.

But the information turned out to be completely wrong. The case did not come before, and it did not come on Saturday. When it was over half holiday stay over, and worst of them all was missed by own holiday wardrobe. They therefore had to make do with a bit of purchased clothes, and they stood and walked in when the holiday started. This took a lot of time and made the planned experiences had to be omitted.

– We called and reminded the local airport, but never got an answer. When we called the number to Norwegian in Norway, we were only told that they had the capacity to respond to inquiries, telling Killingmo.

In desperation he called therefore a second number, to be used if you want to buy ticket. Then answered the other hand immediately, but the operator lost fort interest when he realized that Killingmo was not looking to buy the ticket, but in light suitcases.

– He promised, however, that within an hour would call a “responsible person “to me. The phone never says Killingmo.

Waited and waited

First Sunday evening came luggage, and they were told to bring it even at the airport. It turned out that the suitcases came via an English-departing from Nice on the mainland.

– At the airport we were told that our luggage had been on a round trip between Oslo, Corsica, Nice and then back to Corsica. The holiday was already broken, we got a full day of their holiday wardrobe before we returned home, says Killingmo.

The insurance policy covered the purchase of clothing, but just as misguided.

He considers holiday stay as broken and has demanded compensation from the Norwegian. That does not produce, he complains case to the Transport Appeals fly. He is upset over what he believes is a lack of customer focus and arrogance from the airline side.

– With daily flights to Nice would think that carrying suitcases on to Corsica would not be particularly complicated, he says.

Luggage Chaos

In English sorry Information Director Lasse Sandakerveien-Nielsen issues with getting the suitcase, and the company has been able to respond to requests made by those involved in the case:

– It was unfortunately long wait on the phone when baggage chaos at Oslo airport this summer and we apologize if the customer has made contact with us. The call center responds continuously and chronologically both telephone and e-mail inquiry, but it may take some time during periods of high demand. We have asked the customer concerned to send us receipts for expenses and we will review the complaint individually, as we do with all requests from our passengers, he said.

Sandakerveien-Nielsen argues that all who turn to Company shall have his case dealt with individually and that in periods of high demand can take time to get black all.

– Besides we fly only twice a week to Corsica, which also offers challenges for delivery as no other direct flights from Oslo Airport. We understand that it is both inconvenient and frustrating to wait so long for your luggage when you’re on vacation, he said.
