In the messages there is a large proportion of relatively large fish in six to eight kilograms. The first catches were reported from Jondal and Kvam.
Later, the messages are geographically stretches from Granvin to Etne.
Some messages valid fishing between four and six kilograms. Beside the catches made by anglers, it also reported fish from both salmon trap in Etne and from the Norwegian Nature Inspectorate.

The size also indicates that much of the fish will be sexually mature in autumn. Fisheries will therefore monitor the situation both in terms of identifying the source and ensure mitigation measures.
Breeders fish in actual size is now underway to examine their facilities. They will provide feedback to the Directorate of Fisheries on the investigations that have been made / will be done by Wednesday 8th July.

It is now the season for the incursion of wild salmon and stocks of both wild salmon and sea trout in the area are vulnerable.
