The last time was store shelves empty after three days. Avoided new ølstreik on … – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Parties to the brewery settlement is agreed on a solution. Thus there will be no ølstreik from Wednesday morning.

The mediation between the parties in the beverage industry unfolded a piece beyond the deadline at midnight, but at 0:33 confirms union leader Jan-Egil Pedersen in Norwegian food and beverage workers’ associations (NNN) that the parties have reached agreement.

– A sketch, which was presented at midnight is now accepted by both parties, he writes in an SMS to Dagbladet.

– We agree, confirms tariff responsible Anne Berit Aker Hansen NNN Dagbladet short time later .

The parties had been in mediation since Monday, after it was violation of wage negotiations in mid-April. Mediation deadline expired at midnight, but the parties also agreed to continue negotiations after the deadline.

– We are obviously pleased that there will be strikes in breweries and beverage producers. For NHO Food and Beverages has the structure of minimum wage regulation has been the most demanding in this settlement, says CEO of NHO Food and Beverages, Petter Haas Brubakk in a statement.

Could emptied drain cocks

Negotiation Leader Stein Hagal in NNN says that mediation has been demanding.

– The fact that we have agreed to examine the provision on minimum wage regulation thoroughly is important for the whole NNN. We are also very pleased that NHO gave up on the requirement to extend the normal working day, he said in a statement.

Tariff Responsible Anne Berit Aker Hansen in Norwegian food and beverage Workers’ Union confirmed Tuesday night against NTB that the parties were still in mediation and working to reach a solution. Otherwise, there was little that they could not say when mediation institute is activated. Then they have a duty of confidentiality.

Already from the working start Wednesday morning could of thousands brewery employees in 33 companies around the country will be affected by the strike. It would relatively quickly could give Norwegians reason to fear that beer taps would shrivel and cold counters in shops emptied as a result of cessation of production and delivery of beer and mineral water.

The last time there was a strike in the brewery sector, in 2004 went according to NTB three days before the stores began to warn that the shelves were being exhausted – and just as long before the strike was called off and the parties reconciled.

Brief?

Dagbladet was Tuesday out in the streets of Oslo and talked with several who had pulled out of the city’s beer gardens to new one cold beer in the summer weather. One of them is Ina Brodahl, who says that she thinks it’s a shame about the city’s tap tower was going to be empty.

– I support those who want to be better at their workplace, but it is a pity when it goes beyond summer performance, she said.

Øyvind Nordhagen says he was not aware that an ølstreik could be imminent, but do not think the strike will be of long-term battle.

– There are certainly very much pressure from the population that is going to resolve the strike fairly quickly, he grins.

Prepared

Petter Nome, director of the brewery and beverage association, told Dagbladet before the weekend that taps all over the country can be empty.

– If the strike is prolonged, it can of course be beer stoppage. It will not be completely empty because there are still imported beers. But all major brands will be affected, he said.

It is unclear how long the stocks of beer, cider and soft drinks holder, if possible strike pull out in time.

– It is clear that there is a fair amount of beer in stock, but it is high season and a lengthy strike would also empty warehouses, says Nome.

William Ford works at the pub “pig” on Torshov. He says that they are prepared for a strike.

– We have lots of products in the warehouse. I have been forced to rearrange everything, and there’s a lot of work, but it is better to be prepared, he said.
