Olav Thon Group has purchased an industrial park project in Breivika outside Ålesund.
The seller is Mostein Property and estate director Ole Christian Hallerud Olav Thon Gruppen confirms the transaction to Sunnmørsposten.
– Wonderful synergies
36,000 square meters commercial buildings are planned next plot IKEA will build on.
– I would say that this is the best thing that has happened in our town for 30 years! (…) I see synergies that can be absolutely brilliant, says Mostein owner and -styreleder Steinar Lausund.
He explains to the newspaper sales by that development is larger than a local player can do yourself, and therefore requires developers with bigger muscles.
60 million?
Mostein owner estimated to Sunnmørsposten in September 2013 the project to 650 million.
– Exactly what Thon will build there, is beyond my control. But it is my plans, my idea and plots they have purchased, says Lausund.
The sales price is uncertain, but the newspaper suggests a market of 60 million.
