Flying on Persian rug – Dagens Næringsliv

The Norwegian investors bought Global Geo Services for only 102,000 kroner. Now they have sold seismic data for 42 million kroner to one customer and it can be more.

Global Geo Services- We understand obviously what value the company could potentially gain if the sanctions were lifted sometime in the future, says Bjørn Ursin- Holm (65). He and his family owns half of Global Geo Services (GGS), and the company operates from offices in Grini Næringspark country in Bærum outside Oslo.

Persiagulfen_AV170815.png The current owners bought the shares for 102.000 million in 2010. The main company owner is the so-called ‘Persian Carpet’ investigations with seismic and data from the waters off Iran, also called PC 2000.

– It was a good deal, says chief analyst John Olaisen in ABG Sundal Collier.
