Discovered shattered windshield on aircraft bound for Bergen – Halden Arbeiderblad

– It’s terrible that something like that could happen, says general manager of Bergen Air.

A parked aircraft at Notodden airport got shattered windshield on Monday night.

– When the pilot should inspect the aircraft before flying this morning it was discovered that one of two windshields were shattered . This has happened to external influence, says Geir Hellsten, Managing Director of Bergen Air Transport, to BA.

The passenger plane, which departed at 07.00 was thus set, and the eleven passengers got alternative transport to Bergen.

– Should be investigated

– We have informed the police who will initiate investigations of the case, says Hellsten.

The airplane was subjected to vandalism is a twin-engined turboprop Beechcraft King Air B200 which can accommodate up to 12 passengers. This is one of three planes that Bergen Air Transport owns and operates.

The company is now to put in place a new route, which is expected to be in Notodden in the afternoon.
