The CEO of Norwegian Real Estate Agents (NEF), Carl O. Geving believes kupping of housing is a disadvantage for both buyer and seller.

– The risk of conflict in the aftermath is greater. It happens in a hurry, with a greater risk that ignores errors and missing or not properly secure that funding is in order.

He says kupping typically takes place in densely populated areas in Oslo when the market is now – with small deals compared to buying mass and low interest rates.

– Hausser up cases

Chief Technology Officer Compliance Thomas Bartholdsen Consumer Council believes brokers jetted up cases with kupping and thinks it is not widespread.

In a recent survey they have done among homebuyers in the period 2009-2014, corresponding to 15 per cent that they have experienced that the house they have been interested in has been the coup before viewing. Only 4 percent have experienced it several times.
