The positions that may be affected by the cuts, is linked to the Norwegian market for maintenance, modifications and operations (MMO), writes Stavanger Aftenblad.
Downsizing will occur through natural attrition, redeployment of staff to other parts of the company and redundancies. Moreover, an additional 70 MMO employees in Central Norway could be laid off. Downsizing comes on top of the 500 positions that were removed last year, said press officer Anne Cecilie Lund Andersen Aker Solutions said.
The approximately 500 employees who had to go last year, was transferred to staffing company Frontica Advantage.
