In BT-podcast “Debated,” a few days after it became known that Sparebankstiftelsen DNB acquired 100 percent of Amedia 395 million in February this year, discussed Hilde Sandvik and proposed BA-editor Sigvald Sveinbjørnsson acquisition.

– the fact that such a large foundation enters, together with the media, and to take social responsibility with such heaviness that this is exciting, said Sandvik then .

Now that she is elected to the board she says the following to BA:

– This is a super opportunity that provides insight into an exciting newspaper group, in a new way of thinking ownership for managing social responsibility.

in the same podcast you said you strongly believe in the local gold and local identity. Can you elaborate?

– As newspaper editor, I have been concerned that a media practice doing is creating society and I strongly believe that the local identity combined with global ad-tech solutions can create a healthy business.

How much time and effort is placed into a directorships like this?

– call me again in a year or call André Støylen and ask. It is a big responsibility to sit in a board, and not something you do with your left hand. It is quite clear. I am delighted by the confidence.

It’s a few months since you joined BT now. How does the media industry from your new perspective?

– It’s a totally extreme time, a time of crisis, and Amedia must succeed in a very tough industry. This means that if Amedia be successful, one must succeed right away, it will not become a second chance.

Støylen says about its Chairman-office.
