– They are welcome to get a statement and anything else they would need. We have nothing to hide, says Jesper Rungholm, who is CEO of Danish Danish Air Transport, DAT.

The reason for raid on Lyngseidet Tuesday ettermidag is suspected that FlyViking have violated competition law when the company put in a bid on the STOL routes in northern Norway.

Managing Director of Flight Viking, Ola Giævær, told on August 24 this year that he had knowledge of which routes the Danish competitor DAT would tenders on, and that the two companies had held several meetings in Denmark and talked about “what suits us and what suits them” .

– This was as expected after I expressed myself in an interview with NRK, says Ole Giæver.

Can be illegal

one of those responded on the statement FlyVikings meetings with competitor DAT, was transport researcher Gisle Solvoll at Northern university.

– If it is true that they have sat together and agreed the cost to go to, so it is clearly illegal, said Solvoll.

– Ever undramatic

But the chief of the DAT has denied that there is any talk of coordination of the bidding process with Flight Viking. By telephone from Denmark tells him that they have not been contacted by either competition authorities or police. He doubts that they will get something out of raids by rival to the north, and hope the investigation will be conducted and closed quickly.

I think it’s awful silly . Man should know better. I can not imagine that there will be something to find in our relationship. What Giæver and FlyViking otherwise have been up with I have obviously no idea, but I know at least that in our communication there is nothing to come by, says Rungholm.

– What do you think about that statement for Giæver that have led to this?

– as I have said earlier, I think he is very jovial and talkative men, and here he has spoken more than he thought, concludes Rungholm.
