Nintendo’s classic video game character Mario will be available on Apple’s iPhone and iPad. The news from Apple’s product launch in San Francisco sent Nintendo shares aloft.
The launch of a game with the blue- and red-clad plumber was perhaps the biggest surprise on Apple’s event. Mario games are among the biggest game successes ever, and over 200 million copies will have been sold in various editions.
