Of these was the 3975 individuals from the nordic countries Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. Respondents were asked to select their top three low-cost airlines in Europe based on our own experiences and customer service.

- English occupies the first place with a huge margin, both in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland when it comes to holiday and leisure travel. Despite cut-throat competition hijacker they also have a very strong bronseplass in Europe. In Norway comes Thomas Cook in second place, while only 11 % of us prefer Ryanair. For Europe, it is the company EasyJet that comes on the top followed by Ryanair in second place and English in third place, says countrymanager for Travellink in Norway, Hege Bergsløkken.

For Norwegian, it is important to offer good quality at a low price. Positive feedback from customers is very important and motivates us to continue to work for even more people to choose English on the next journey, ” says sales director Lars Sande in English.

Rate the most important

Among the Norwegian respondents in the survey, is the price that has the greatest significance for the choice of airline (88 %), while pleasant flight times by the out/return is the second-most important (64 %). The airport’s location are ranked as number three on the list (43 %).

- The Norwegian participants in the survey is surprisingly little keen to get access to a lounge at the airports. Only 5.1 per cent answer that this is important when they book a leisure trip. Neither the WiFi or the duty free selection on board the aircraft matters a lot for the norwegians. Only 3 % responding that this is important. With other words: For the vast majority it’s about getting the journey at the best possible price, ” says Bergsløkken.

Cheaper?

It is also interesting to note that eight out of ten of the Norwegian respondents have availed themselves of various airlines on the out – and return – in order to get the best possible price.

- we can see This clearly with us in Travellink when people are booking tickets. Comfortable flight times are important, and then hands it often happens that the traveller chooses different airlines on the exodus and the return, says Hege Bergsløkken.

But Ola and Kari are not wholly positive to the budget airlines. Many believe that these companies know to charge for additional services such as, for example, for storage. Almost four out of ten answer that they think the discount airlines can be just as expensive as full-service companies, particularly in the high season. And over three out of ten perceive that the budget airlines were cheaper before.

the company’s communications manager Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen is naturally happy for the confidence and trust of the travelers.

- In Norwegian, we are keen to give customers themselves the freedom to choose whether they want to pay for checked baggage or food on board, so that they can get such a cheap travel as possible, ” he says.

And add:

One must not be beguiled into believing that one does not have to pay for additional services with companies that promote themselves with the fact that everything is included.
