Oslo airport lose ground – E24

Oslo airport is today Scandinavia’s second largest after the Kastrup at Copenhagen, but in front of Stockholm’s hovedflyplass Arlanda. If the other continues to grow faster, can Oslo’s again end as the smallest of the scandinavian hovedflyplassene, writes the newspaper Aftenposten.

– Oslo airport are in a pressure situation and you have a problem with having the clear least trafikkpotensialet of all three cities, believes the Norwegian luftfartsrådgiveren Einar Sorensen, who for many years worked closely together with the european aeronautical in France.

For a couple of decades ago, when the planes to and from Oslo, the country and relieved at Fornebu, had the norwegians on a trip out in the world often mellomlande in Copenhagen. But thanks to the powerful oljedrevet growth increased supply from Oslo, and in some months, the Airport also past Kastrup in the number of travelers.

Arlanda was banished to third place in 2006, but grew faster than the Airport in the last year, with 7 per cent against 4,5 per cent, and ambitions are clear.

” We will be the largest in the Nordic countries in the course of three years. The growth is large, more lavprisselskap has established itself, and not least, Norwegian expanded rapidly in the last few years, ” says officer Ulf Wallin at Swedavia, which owns the airport.
