Weaker debt growth in Norway – Dagens Næringsliv

Household domestic debt amounted to 3.057 billion by the end of December, according to STATISTICS norway. The twelve-month growth was 6.4 per cent up to the end of December, up from 6.3 per cent the month before.

Weaker utlånsvekst for banks

Domestic debt was 80 per cent loans from banks and mortgage companies by the end of December. This amounts to 4.103 billion, according to the credit indicator. The twelve-month growth in lending from banks and mortgage companies in total were 5.4 per cent to end-December, down from 5.5 per cent the month before.

municipal government’s gross domestic debt totalled nok 455 billion at the end of December. The twelve-month growth was 5.1 per cent until the end of December, up from 4.6 per cent the month before.
