Norwegian Coop scoops on Swedish trade – HegnarOnline

Norwegian Coop is co-owner of several of the big supermarkets just across the Swedish border.

According to DN, each year 50-60 million from Nordby Supermarket, Maximat Nordby and Maximat Svinesund injected into the operations of Coop East.

– Today frontier an important part of our business. It provides great contribution to our results, says Tore Tjomsland, CEO of Coop East.

It is no secret that the Swedish company AB Grensemat has been a goldmine for Coop East and the Swedish sister cooperative team. The two partners each own 50 percent.

– There is no doubt that investment with the Swedish cooperative team was ingenious, says Tjomsland to DN.
