– There are fears radiation hazard and reluctance to set up base stations and antennas where we need it. For example, we tried to set up a base station around Bygdøy school that would have solved the problem, but have not succeeded. It has been very strong reactions from the parents’ council at school due to fear of radiation. We have given up there, says Director of Coverage Bjørn Amundsen of Telenor to Dagens Næringsliv.
Head of parents council committee on Bygdøy school, Kari-Ann Rough Heggem, stressing that the committee has not dealt with any application from Telenor after she took office in autumn 2013.
– I’m not familiar with some inquiries from Telenor, and we will consider any application, says Heggem
