The management has tried to get with employees on pay cuts, but have failed to conclude an agreement with the pilots and ground staff.

The cabin crew and management / administration, however, has taken pay cuts.

The pilots of the company went last spring on an agreement where they went three percent pay cut and lønnsstigen was adjusted down and start salary was reduced 20-25 percent.

But when ground staff were not with the corresponding wage cuts, pulled pilots from the agreement in mid-December. The pilots have also demanded to get after paid all they are drawn in wages.

Widerøe bleed sharply on routes to and from Torp Sandefjord, where they are in direct competition with Norwegian.

But plans for new and larger airports in northern Norway threatens Widerøe their “monopoly” in the region in the future.
