Norwegian Bergen and Trondheim router is soon history.
According to Communications Director Anne-Sissel Skånvik in Norwegian airline has acknowledged that they have to turn every stone to find cost-saving measures, writes Aftenposten.
Unprofitable
Missing profitability is the main reason that the routes to Bergen and Trondheim now dropped.
– We had no opportunity to extend Trondheim route and it unfortunately does not appear that we can continue Bergen either, says Skånvik Aftenposten.
The routes to Bergen and Trondheim has been subject to intense price competition with Widerøe. This has pushed profit margins to airlines down to a minimum.
Now increase prices
Again sitting Widerøe, which is also known on the competitive situation.
– It has been good for Vestfold with competition. We see that the total market has increased, but the total capacity has been too great. It has led to a fierce competition where prices have been so low that none of the companies have earned money, says CIO Silje Brandvoll Widerøe Sande Blad.

Large loss
Five days ago announced English that they incurred losses and additional costs in the order of 350 million in connection with the pilot strike in February and March.
